2D Shape Board | Double Sided

This wooden 2D Shape Board is double sided with the basic two dimensional shapes that children in Early Years need to know on one side and more complex two dimensional shapes on the reverse side. The shapes are circle, square, triangle, rectangle, oval, pentagon, hexagon and heptagon.

Children can begin to recognize shapes by carefully tracing them with their finger or using the tracing stick – which is like using a pencil. This resource is based on the Montessori self-directed, hands-on approach to learning. Using this shape board, little ones will be able to feel shapes and start to use the language to describe them.

Materials:

Board – solid beech wood and finished with a natural raw oil
Tracing stick – beech dowel
