It all began with The Treehouse Club. The concept for the Treehouse Club was clear, a nursery with an emphasis on the outdoors and the unique learning opportunities nature can provide. We wanted children to learn and explore outside, so utilising a forest school methodology and our access to the beautiful countryside of Essex we created settings like no other.
Over the years of operating The Treehouse Club we noticed that quality outdoor resources for Early Years were either overly expensive, or didn't meet the specifications we needed.
So, working with local artisan carpenters, we set out to design and make a range of outdoor play equipment that could be bespoke to each space- this was the beginning of the Big MOE range!

Ashley is the Managing Director for MOE and throughout her life she has loved the outdoors and grew up hardly being inside.
Her focus has always been adventures from teaching outdoor education to supporting mental health outdoors. In her personal time she loves riding horses, hiking and paddle boarding.
Ruth is the Operations Director for MOE and likes to make sure that everything is running smoothly.
With her actuarial background she still loves a spreadsheet!
Ruth plays club level basketball- despite being the wrong side of 40- and spends her spare time with her husband and four children who fill her life with craziness, fun and laughter.
Pete is MOE's Finance Director and spends far too much time stuck behind a computer than he would like!
Approaching 20 years in the accounting profession, when he isn't playing with numbers he likes to cycle around the backroads of Essex, paddle board and hike.
