As a responsible organisation with over 50 years of education experience, we are committed to protecting the environment, ensuring compliance with all legislation, supporting good causes and  running our company in a fair and ethics manner.

At MOE, we share our passion through the supplies of educational resources and learning materials to promote early education. We do so in a sustainable way that has a low impact upon the environment and promotes educating children, families and teachers to live an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Our green operation is an extension of our passions. As a whole business, we have implemented the following initiatives:

  • We only source products that are designed with an emphasis on teaching children and families about the environment in a sustainable, eco-friendly way.
  • Timber is the most sustainable building material available, benefiting from low embedded energy. Timber is a renewable resource, recyclable, biodegradable and sustainable. This means using materials that are closest to their natural state. Timber can also be re-used or reduced to wood chip for other building products, we match with companies that use sustainable materials in their products where possible.
  • We only work with companies that recycle and have an environmental pledge to reduce waste.
  • Where applicable we use low energy lighting and ozone friendly materials.
  • We collaborate with companies that use non-toxic low-VOC liquids for protection and treatments.
  • We are passionate about protecting the environment wherever possible and ensuring that we adhere to all environmental legislation and guidance and try to ensure that our supply chains have a similar ethos to us.
  • We monitor our energy use and implement ways in which to make this as green as possible.
  • Part of the company strategy involves climate change and how we monitor this with our partners and educate them towards waste management.

Biodiversity loss is important and as such we support charities that invest in replanting and forest care to support our planet for future generations, a percentage of our annual profits goes back in to supporting this work. We also support the Woodland Trust, the UK’s largest Woodland Conservation Charity. We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees. Planting over 43 million trees since 1972, this amazing charity is passionate about the creation, protection and restoration of native woodland heritage.

We take our social responsibility extremely seriously supporting  volunteering projects, conducting talks and attending events which is for the good of our next generations.
