The Tender Years nursery group has opened a new beautiful purpose-built nursery and preschool in Leigh.  In keeping with the design of her sister nursery in Bolton, this setting similarly features the marvellous and impressive Giant Train.

This signature piece of wooden garden play equipment delivers fantastic visual impact as well as diverse and varied learning and play environment for their children.  Named the ‘Tender Years Express Train’ this locomotive provides the children with the opportunity to use their imagination, gross motor skills, build friends and explore communication skills --- but most of all to have FUN!

To the complete the outdoor learning area, MOE also installed large abacus, hollow construction blocks, large mark makers shed for ample storage, hanging chalk boards, scales and ball pit to extend the children’s learning and discovery.

The feedback for outdoor classroom areas has been extremely positive and beneficial for both teachers, practitioners and pupils.  Practitioners state that they find the wooden learning equipment useful for curriculum delivery, impacts positivity on their teaching practices and increases their own well-being and health to be able to extend learning outdoors through the use of wooden resources.   Additionally, the children find their lessons and learning more enjoyable, feel happier and improves on social skills.
